Easy Curried Koftas

Easy curried koftas are always a winner with my boys. They enjoy the simple texture of mince and the mild spicing makes these really tasty. Kids love ‘finger food’ so being able to assemble their own wraps keeps them happy at the dinner table.

  • Serves 4
  • A great family dinner suitable for all ages
  • Serve with salad and flatbreads, wraps or naan
  • Perfect hot or cold

Ingredients

  • 500g Beef or Lamb Mince (choose your preference)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 2 teaspoons mango chutney
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix the ingredients together so they are well combined. I usually squish it together with a wooden spoon then I use one hand.

2. Once the mixture is combined, refrigerate for 30 minutes This will allow the mixture to firm up.

3. Once the mixture has firmed up, split equally into 8 pieces then mould each piece around a skewer. If you don’t have any skewers don’t worry, just mould into a sausage shape and pop on a baking tray.

4. Turn the grill onto medium and grill on each side for approximately 8 minutes until they have browned.

Serve with small bowls of salad, flatbread (naan or tortilla wrap is fine) and a bowl of natural yoghurt or hummus.

Enjoy!
